About

cropped-em-ep-launch-2018-eleanor-52-of-67.jpgI am a pianist, guitarist and vocalist based in Suffolk. I’ve been playing and writing ever since I can remember, and gigging for over 15yrs.

I write songs in some kind of folk/ jazz tradition and released my debut album in March 2018 with the help of some fine Kickstarter supporters. Splashes of Colour is a collection of 10 original heartfelt and carefully crafted songs and instrumental piano pieces. It is available for digital download or on CD from the following website: click here for Bandcamp.

As well as my solo pursuits, I have previously enjoyed playing with bands such as Cantaloupe, an infectious pop band drawing influences from afro-pop to krautrock to the avant garde. My vocals featured on the band’s first album ‘Zoetrope’, released by Hello Thor records to rave reviews and radio play on BBC 6Music and Radio 1. It was a pleasure writing, touring and recording with Cantaloupe but various band members moving across the UK slightly impaired rehearsal and writing time! However I was overjoyed to feature again on the second album ‘Error States’, released in 2019. This features a wide range of vocal talent, the song ‘Bad News’ with Beck Goldsmith, being an absolute blinder of a track!  You can find these albums and more from Hello Thor.

In my Derbyshire days I was a founding member of Furthest From the Sea, a fantastic arts organisation (slightly biased of course) and the song Crossing Circles was featured on the album ‘Acoustic Nights at the Bookcafe’.
